Pea & Ham Soup

INGREDIENTS

Smoked Bacon

Onions

Butchers Ham

Frozen Peas

Vegetable stock

INSTRUCTIONS

Start by finely dicing some Onion and smoked Bacon.

Pop a large sauce pan or Dutch oven on a medium heat.

Add a splash of Olive Oil and chuck in the Bacon.

Once you start getting some colour on the Bacon add the Onion.

Season, and sweat down the Onion without colour.

Once the Onions are soft add the frozen Peas and pour in the Vegetable stock until it just covers the Peas.

Simmer the Soup while you cut the Butchers Ham into small pieces.

Then, we want to blend the Soup until it is nice and smooth and pour it back into the Pan.

Add the Ham, stir and simmer for 3-5 minutes, then serve.
